Character Building Sports Stars are the new range of lego-style construction mini figures from Character Options. CB Sports Stars figures and toys first launch in August 2012.
To coincide with the Euro 2012 football tournament UK toy company Character are initially releasing a collectable set of 14 FA Character Building minifigures in partnership with Topps, called Topps Minis. Fully licensed by the English FA the Topps Minis minifigures will feature members of team England’s Euro 2012 squad such as Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Ashley Cole and John Terry.
Topps Minis will not be complete without the table-top Pitch and Play Set with three exclusive Topps Minis football figures. Winners can award themselves a 30cm replica Character Building FA Cup.
To go with the Character Building Sports Stars and Character Building FA football minifigures, Character are releasing the Character Building Wembley Stadium. This ultimate football construction set, containing over 1,000 pieces, will retail at around £150. The Character Building Wembley toy even includes the arch that spans the famous England stadium. Topps Minis FA minifigures as well as the Character Building Sports Stars figures can be used to make up teams to play cup matches or internationals at this awesome new toy Wembley Stadium.
Kicking off the new 2012 – 2013 Premier League season are Character Options brand new Character Building Sports Stars minifigures. These constructable toy CB Sports Stars football mini figures are sold in blind bags with either a slider base or mini football and feature top stars from the Premiership’s biggest teams, initially including Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea F.C. and Arsenal.
Character Building Sports Stars collectors can assemble their own fantasy teams to compete on new toy football pitches and penalty shoot out Spot Kick playsets.
With the Sports Stars Pitch and Play Set fans can build one of six different Premiership football stadiums. You can also assemble the pitch with the Sports Stars Collect and Build Pitch Packs which contain two Sports Stars football figures.
With the Sports Stars 4 in 1 Stadium Mega Set fans can build either The Emirates Stadium, Anfield, White Hart Lane or Stamford Bridge.
Verdict: Character’s Sports Stars and Topps Minis are set to dominate the Premier League of boys collectables for several seasons to come.
