Canimals toys are based on the popular Canimals show which is a mix of CGI and live action.
Canimals is co-produced by world-renowned Aardman Animation with partners Voozclub and BRB International. The Canimals are a collection of cute animals that live secretly hidden amongst us in cans. When no one’s around the Canimals come out to play.
Canimal toys are made by Tomy, the European master toy licensee. The Canimal toy line includes plush Canimals, toy Canimal figures, electronic Canimals as well as a range of Canimals arts and crafts products.
In August 2012 Aardman announced Vivid Imaginations as the new Canimals toy licensee for the UK and Ireland. Vivid are to launch a new range of collectable Canimals figures from 2013. These include six new Squeaky Canimals figures, Canimals keyrings, and Talking Canimals plush toys.
Plush Talking Canimals either bark or meow when pressed. Vivid are releasing Mimi, Oz and Ato plush in the initial launch.
Squeaky Canimals squeak when squeezed. The Squeaky Canimals Triple Pack includes Mimi, Oz and an exclusive Leon figure.
Vivid’s Pop Up Mimi Canimal toy will be released later along with soft Canimals Cushions.
Canimals collectibles appeal to boys and girls and the combination of Aardman’s superb animation and Tomy’s creative marketing make Canimal toys a big hit with pre-schoolers.
